As fun as the parade was today, I’m absolutely reeling after last night. The most gutted I have ever felt as an Arsenal fan, and the fact we won the league doesn’t make me any less gutted. Yes that is...
You are not alone. It really stings. It hurts so much it is irrational. We must just hope that we get back and win this cup that has been so elusive for us. This hurt will take a long time to heal though.
Barney Ronay on PSG: “You don’t have to be a single-city petro-project glamour toy with an economically irrationally funding model to be successful. But it doesn’t hurt.”
Kai and Ode were quite hilarious during their interview with Frimmy on the bus. Trying to be serious answering questions then randomly yelling Arsenal Arsenal Arsenal!!
Did he think our boys were diving? So many times we had someone of the grass and play went on like nothing happened but PSG seemed to get a call every time one of theirs hit the deck.
Are you surprprised I presume that ref goes out to Qatar to teach their refs for large amounts of dosh every time.
16 out of 1.5 million actually sounds like lower than just a regular average 😂
Does to me as well.Did they want a higher number *winks*
Apparently the old bill aren't happy — because there were 16 arrests out of 1.5 million people at the celebrations today. Dunno about anyone else, but I really don't think that's news.

I think it was a case of a series of Arsenal players delaying restarts, on corners, throws and free kicks. It annoyed me as well.
I regretted not putting a bit of money at half time on Mosquera or hincapie getting an early yellow because that was the most predictable card of all time. After denying the corner like that It was dead obvious he was going to book one of them at the first opportunity.
According to TNT Sports Football:
Aaron Ramsdale said: "Devastated seeing my mates miss penalties. I'm proud of you no matter what. Big nuts to step up and take one. You'll be back!"
Fair play. That’s love.

I'm just gutted that we didn't get that penalty given to us earlier in the match. That ref has a lot to answer for.

Have a talk with the captain and issue a yellow card is the appropriate way to deal with that. What he did was unprofessional at best.

It’s tough man- we all know how hard it is to get there. To lose in a shootout is brutal. There’s a part of me that worries we’ll never get back there but I take some confidence that we went through the whole CL campaign undefeated. We know how to manage and win games in Europe. We should be back sooner than later.

Wooow .. amazing numbers but it genuinely felt like half of London or more was out in Arsenal jerseys
I hear the number was about 800,000. I was in a little side street that wasn't at all crowded with a fabulous view, about 3 minutes walk from my front door! How local is . I know that I am 1 mile as the crow flies from stadium.
I don't think that Marti should have even attempted that pass. If there was ever a time to put the burners on and drive forward, that was it.
Nail on the head! I was shocked and then deflated that he chose to pass when he could have driven forward and that the ball didn't get to Noni.
I don't think that Marti should have even attempted that pass. If there was ever a time to put the burners on and drive forward, that was it.
It’s all of it- technical quality, pace, strength, and tactical nous of how to pull a defense apart with movement, passing etc. We just lacking some top level talent in these areas.
Gotta be the next stage of development. Arteta got this group far enough to win the Prem but to turn us into the best in Europe- we need to up the level.
I blame spellcheck and dehydration none of my posts are readable..
I don't think that Marti should have even attempted that pass. If there was ever a time to put the burners on and drive forward, that was it.
People look at the 25% possession stats an no shots on goal.. the best chances were Arsenals even were leading but died in build up before they registered xg a little more quality and calm and things would have gone soo different.

Over a million, possible 1½million.

I think the idea of us being “too scared to play” is too simplistic. We’ve seen time and time again we don’t have the firepower to go toe to toe with the absolute elite at this level.

Such lazy analysis. What the fuck does it even mean? Pundits trot out "too scared to play", "should have been a bit braver, "should have gone for it a bit more " as if they're offering insights, but it's a waste of oxygen. Anyone can toss out shit like that; difference is, they're ex-players supposedly offering first hand knowledge and experience. Bollocks! Hairy, knotted bollocks!
Didn't think psg wingers that great yesterday . Yeah left winger won the pen. But Hincpiehe had the rw in his pocket

Oh we destroyed PSGs game plan. My point is we don’t have the requisite winger quality to really open up teams. So when people say Arsenal were “too scared to play” the reality is we the quality in certain areas.
We had a chance to break with Martinelli, Noni and Vik late in the game and we couldn’t even get the initial pass correct.

I think every right thinking footballer could do without the Trump Cup. The further away Trump stays from football the better, both him and InfantinobybnameInfantinobynature.
Amazing turnout today never been a sorrow or seen anything like this , told my son that this was like a Rick and Morty episode where we had landed in ”Arsenal world ” never ever have there been so many people on Londond streets and they were all wearing Arsenal jerseys !!! Amazing shit .. I refus to believe there’s a bigger fannase .. this started already at airport Arsenal jerseys all over and continued on trainstations .. London was mad and red .. not just North London.. . LONDON
This is how it looked from players view
https://www.reddit.com/r/Gunners/s/cyUcF8T…I thought Saka looked a bit peaky. One of the physios had said it was the worst hamstring injury he had ever seen but we know Saka would always be keen to step up.

Yes me too
I'll always that save against Leicester.... incredible
"remember"
Our problem against PSG is not that we chose to park the bus. It was that we couldn't get out. I remember one incident, I think in the first half, where MLS drove forward and played a forward pass, but the move broke down. I'd like to have seen him do that more. I suspect that next season, that will be his job!

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS 🏆💪
On my way to England to see my 94 year old mum. She's tickled pink that Arsenal won the Premier League Title
Back from the parade.
What an awesome day. Except getting home... That was a pile of uncoordinated fuck ups!
On train home from parade was stood near Angel. Why twats leg off flares ?, ruins the view.
THE owner should extend or build a100,000 capacity stadium , today shows it would easily filled ever week ! Has to happen, would you want a bigger stadium
Wonderful to see the jubilant scenes from the parade, so many smiling Gooners! I must say that the red flares slightly ruin it for me, a bit too much for my tastes, but I'm old and bit grumpy.
Agreed on the smoke flares... Could barely see a thing!
Absolutely scenes....amazing

And it wasn't too crowded - I was one street away from where I live after the parade been had extended the route and from the side of the road that we were on misswoo and I saw all our favourites but not Arteta who apparently was wearing dark glasses and on the other side the bus.
and I realised later that I hadn't spotted zoobidoobidoo but will look at the pics again tomorrow. misswoo came over from where she lives in Tottenham and such was the gooner exodus from there that she couldn't get on the first 2 trains and decided on a bus and a walk from Manor House She sent me some pix from Tottenham en route with the legend Tottenham is Red.

I suppose this is true. I think fear is an element but ability and lack of coaching (in certain respects) are also salient considerations.

Fantastic. The video footage I saw online was great, the streets looked absolutely packed with very happy fans.

The more I think about it the more it’s clear that the major difference is we do not have elite wide men. The elite attacking units all have monsters on the wing. Even our best in Saka falls well short of those levels on most days.

Thinking about the future and next season already and who is set to leave in the summer? Any thoughts?
Back from the parade, amazing day. Travelled over from Belfast and it 100% worth it.
Got to Highbury Corner at 10 and had a great spot, seeing the lads go by was incredible, Odegaard giving it loads at the back.
I know he was wearing shades but I swear Arteta looked right at me as I was pointing up shouting "You - you did this".
Beautiful day, so many people stopped me just to chat.
I liked his quote about how he became an Arsenal fan before he could understand what he was committing to, like so many others.
Just got home from the parade. Long day and a pain in the arse to get in and out but was definitely worth it. Great vibes and a slightly weird sensation being surrounded by so many people in Arsenal shirts that just carried on for ever. Like a game day but on steroids. For a bus that was supposedly going so slow it seemed to fly past when it actually got to us.
Couldn't actually see that much as I had my son on my shoulders and was trying to film the bus and his reaction, but a great day. So much positivity from everyone that we are just getting started
Just before the parade arrived UpperClass turned to me, put her hand on my chest and said that the last time there was a Championship parade she was this high
😁
Where did you end up on the route
We had to exit at Finsbury Park. Very busy, crossed the road under the bridge, saw a space and spent the time there. Bruce managed to work his way to the front. Good vibe and lots of humour.
Fuck though, I love the smell of flares. Like the smell of distinguished match, not healthy but loved that smell.
Bruce is playing in the lounge, all I can hear is: we hate tottnum, we hate tottnum....

Did you also see Mamdani in his amazing specialised Arsenal kit the other day?
Yes, it was very cool

Meanwhile, the Empire State Building was lit up in red and white to celebrate our title. Well done, New York mayor and Gooner Mamdani.
We are gargantuan!

Correction: it's in Guangzhou not Shanghai
Most massive fanbase in Asia (China)
That's very cool!
There was also this other building, The Canton Tower in Shanghai lit up in honour of our Champions. With the club crest and the words "Return of the Kings" in Chinese.

Mosquera is as much a RB as Hincapie is a LB, they're both decent in the positions. If white goes then maybe but I still hold out hope.
Fair enough

We only have Timber and White as true RB options, no? Mosquera is more a RCB backup for Saliba. Also, I suspect White may be one of the departures this summer.

If (big IF) we could get people healthy we'd be reasonably well stocked at RB. Spend further forward, that's where we need to be investing now

The parade was a wonderful uplift after yesterday's sadness. Probably helps the players hunger for more.

Wonderful players. I’d like to see Palestra at RB, wonder if Berta can pull some Italian strings. Very good going forward, young, athletic and a good defender as well.
I'll have to Google this lad up
Looks like Sky feed has ended....
Seems you can still see it on on or other if bbc sky if the other one is showing some outside world news.
Both news channels went all afternoon on it and still are going back around the (other) main news

Just back from parade with an exhausted small boy. That was a lot of fun.
Is anyone else just kind of relieved that the season is over though?
Relief is the main sensation for me. I'm now looking forward to our transfer madness this summer! 😅

Not many of those around I'm afraid, the elite strikers I mean.
Yeah, just saw a Ornstein post about money being no object for us this summer or something along those lines.

Livramento has never really looked that good to me. Hall is the better player, and isn't always injured. We don't need a lb though
Not my choice of right-back but that’s the word on who we’re getting.
You know what it's like? I remember younger days when I was at a party which nobody wanted to end.

They're chanting Oh Santi Cazorla .. .then Thierry Henry..
I'm sure there's a One Arsene Wenger in there somewhere?
Kroupi, Rodgers, Livramento seems totally doable. But we need one elite, ready made striker I think. We’ll see, but I think the Kroenkes will be determined now.

“As the victory parade comes to a close, you can bet some people will be heading to the pub, while others will hang around and enjoy the party.
They don't know how long they're going to have to wait to do this again.
Most people I've been speaking to today don't think it's going to be another 22 years, but you never know.
Out of all the events I've ever covered in my 15 years as a broadcast journalist, this is without doubt the biggest event I've seen, people wise, in any sport across any country.
These are memories that last a lifetime.”
Well that was a huge amount of fun. Happy supporters, happy players and an unbelievably happy looking Mikel

I'm really intrigued by who we are likely to get to improve our attack. I didn't think Rogers was possible, but it seems his agents have been putting the feelers out. I'll be sad that we'll lose some ...
Rogers would be unreal.
Crazy everywhere couldn't see anything so just gave up and ended up in the White Swan Upper Street
It's often the same with the Goalkeeper's Union helping and coaching each other, often being bezzie mates even though only one can get picked.
Great to see that unity all through the squad. You feel they are all there rooting for reach other no matter who gets the call.

I'll be sad that we'll lose some much loved familiar faces, but some of them might also choose to go having finally help deliver the big 'un after so many years and such an exhausting season.
To call them "animals" would be an insult to animals. Seems to be deep-seated problems in France which the far right are exploiting for their hateful and ugly nefarious purposes.
Shows the level of Arsenal haters.
Kai doing Gyok’s celebration as well.
I know this team will be upgraded and despite their flaws I’ll be said to see guys go. But will never forget their contributions to this season.

Never have been and never will. Social media is the bane of humanity. This season has taught me that Arseblog is King followed by Charles Watts, the Arsenal Vision guys and, occasionally, Adrian Clarke. I'm not going to watch every game next season like I did this one. Like millions of Arsenal fans, I was completely irrational in thinking somehow I transmitted energy to the team to get us over the line. Blogs explained it well in a blog and an arsecast episode, but I felt I needed to prioritise The Arsenal over almost everything else at the weekends. I'll be more relaxed next season, but I still won't watch Match of the Day, though. Been done with it for years now cos I find the circus of ex-players talking about football a huge waste of time and life. They don't offer insights and can barely string a sentence together.
The party atmosphere seems to have ramped up a level now
LOL Big Gab now holding up someone’s tinfoil trophy
You can't always predict how youngsters will develop. Ask our Chelsea reject who we got half-price!
And when we played Chelsea their fans were yelling "traitor" at him!
I wonder if Josh has a mansion in London or whether he stays in a hotel when he travels over from the states
Prob both
I actually want a striker like Kane. Unfortunately, he's the one that got away in terms of youngsters who came through Arsenal. The vast majority didn't make it at elite levels, but he certainly did. ...
Gotta give Kane his due. One of the GOAT strikers. Never thought he’d be this good.

Careful.. he might try to lick the windows of the bus
I actually want a striker like Kane. Unfortunately, he's the one that got away in terms of youngsters who came through Arsenal. The vast majority didn't make it at elite levels, but he certainly did. He puts chances away in a way which makes life relatively easy for his midfield and defence.
Imagine being so the son of a billionaire and basically inheriting Arsenal
We can only hope that a bit lot of Arsenal and what it represents has rubbed off on him.
Crowd were serenading him with his song. A beautiful sight.
Must have missed that one.
This party feels like aloe vera on a bad sunburn.
I hope the sea of humanity and sheer joy on display makes our detractors choke on their bile.

They needed a penalty to score against us over 120 minutes.
Yes but they managed to keep us pinned back and most teams would have rolled over under that much pressure
Yes. So did his wee friends next to him.
One thing that stood out in the post match presser was Arteta quite blatantly agreeing with the interviewer statement about needing to add more attacking fluidity closer to the level that PSG has.

Very interesting from Arteta. He was asked what he would replicate from PSG and he answered their individual quality. He definitely wants a maverick type of player in attack.
We made a fuck ton of money this year. I think we are spending it. There will surely be outgoings too.

You don't doubt that he wants one or two mavericks but with a rock solid base to back them up.

The Premier League is the must beautiful cup though. The gold crown is fucking glorious.
Agreed
Just need to add ol' Big ears for posterity next year
The half million estimate might be low
Imagine a stadium big enough to fit everyone in!
He's actually an Arsenal fan taking the piss out of the likes of Richard Keys and co
Oh.. my mistake. I misjudged him.
Fair play on the self-depreciation bit too.
Unbelievable sea of humanity- we are massive
They sure are, and well deserved too
They've got over yesterday's result that's for sure!

Tuned in to the coverage for a bit. Just in time to see Shanghai Gooners among other fans coming from all over the world for the parade. We are truly massive.

We also need an injection of Alexis Sanchez maverick. That guy tested my frustration with the amount of ball he lost, but he was our ace in the pack. Dribbling, shooting and ball carrying, he could do it all.
Might need to get me one of them "it's not over" shirts 😂
I hope Frimmy was careful when he shook Raya's hand!

1.5% of the population on the streets of North London. 🤍❤️
Heh PSG were proper rattled yesterday, even after the penalty. MLS has to be in our starting midfield next season.
We completely nullified them and it came down to missed penalties in a shootout. Everything else is narrative and clickbait.
Is that the bus that we had parked yesterday, heh

Not worried when Raya is holding it
Will worry if Kepa holds it though 😆😃

Does he have his gloves on this time? 😅
Players holdng the trophy over the front of the bus brings worrying flashbacks of the clips of, I think it was sergio Ramos, dropping the trophy in front of the bus. 😂

Amazing season!
Let's go again, boys!
Actually nice to have the parade so soon and put their sorrows to the side. It’s been a fantastic season don’t forget that.
What channel are you watching the parade on Db
It’s crazy to think one bad kick of a football can cause so much emotion. It is indeed a bastard competition and I am pretty sure we are going to win it soon.
They don't have audio from the mic on the bus? They'll have that at some point, right?
Nwanieri is on the bus with a Champions shirt which is nice to see
Quite! It was worrying that he wasn't at the trophy lift

Looks incredible. Goes to show yesterday hasn't dampened spirits. We can't let one match cloud our achievements this season. The premier league is a horribly difficult league to win.
Completely agree.
The scenes on tv of North London are absolutely amazing, it's bringing tears to my eyes.

Gosh that’s tough to take- I know how hard it is to get to the final and play so well. I worry we won’t get there again. On the other hand I remember that we went through this competition conceding only 7 goals (5 really if you discount meaningless Kepa game) so we should believe we have every opportunity to get back.
As for the performance- the boys left it all out there and Arteta nearly got it perfect and certainly good enough to win.
I think there are a just a couple things he might have done differently with hindsight. I do believe they were there for the taking in extra time. Unfortunately for us all of our ball control guys started the game and we just lacked high level composure on the ball (except Eze). Look at the moment where we could have broken with Martinelli with the ball and Noni/Gyok making runs. We weren’t able to get the first pass right.
Maybe starting Martinelli and having Trossard’s guile in ET could have been the difference but we’ll never know.
The other thing is not saving that last sub. Hincapie’s injury was severely hampering our ability to organize properly. What a fucking warrior he was. But putting on a guy like Calafiori in that game state would have been an unbelievable wild card to play.
Top end of Petherton is nice. Music. Not crowded.
Absolute carnage at Finsbury Park. Best avoided.

Haven't arsed in almost 15 years, but wanted to hop on and be part of the blog one more time...at this great time.
Shame about last night, but what a season, rebuild and future in store. Here's to an injury free World Cup and some smart transfers before we do it all again!
He never won anything that cunt. Not a fucking carrot. Fucking useless pace merchant, has the brains of a fucking pork sausage
Mekon-looking cunt! He's brought out the playground taunting, name-calling side of me. The massive forehead cunt!
Lovely piece of writing Blogs. Felt so sorry for Gabs that he had to be the one after all he has done this season. 63 season supporter and probably an age thing but this season has just meant so much. What a group of players and thanks Mikel for what you have achieved against the petrodollar odds, it has brought a lot of joy to so many.

I'm fine, too many beers last night and back on tournament duty at 6am this morning. Too busy to think much about Arsenal yet! I wanted a pen for the Madueke challenge though!
Glad to hear it. As Charles Watts said this morning, that would have been given against us had it been at the other end. Disgraceful refereeing all round. Gave them a free kick as soon as our players breathed near them.
For those getting wound up by some of the media and other supporters, don't.

This! Excellent advice. I watched Charles Watts this morning and noticed the next video had that Mekon-looking cunt Agbonlahor smirking in the thumbnail. What the fuck did he achieve in his career to be taking pot shots at Arsenal? As I said earlier, far too many bellends in the media and YouTube depend on Arsenal for their living, and the sooner we fans stop engaging, they'll quickly realise they're wasting their time and move on elsewhere.
Let our parade be happy and peaceful, unlike the QSG fans who went on the rampage inQatar Paris last night. Wonder what would have happened had they lost!
Wish I could be there but I have trouble standing for more than a few minutes. I can't walk as far as the nearest bus stop. I don't suppose that the Dial-a-Ride service would take me there and back anyway!

Fantastic blog as always, Andrew, a big hug back at you.
Look after yourself, NB. I enjoy your chunterings, they always come from a place of honesty. I've got fond memories of Haselmere from many many moons ago. Lovely countryside around there.
Shout out to Paul and Anna, two lovely young Gooners I befriended last night in a heavily PSG-dominated bar. Made it all much more enjoyable and less tense while it was good, and more bearable, when it stopped being good.
For those getting wound up by some of the media and other supporters, don't.
The noise will die down within a few weeks and the best response will be another title next season, and please Mikel let's have some attack minded football to further silence the naysayers.

I think that's a fair point. At the trough of the Emery episode it was difficult to look forward with the hope you need to sustain you. But this era is so palpably different, so it makes the lows seem more bearable.

Still numb. Having a pint to take the edge off in the Fox on the green on Islington green . Lovely party atmosphere . Hopefully I’ll liven up soon 🤣
Just left Budapest. Unbelievable couple of days. The city was full of Arsenal and it was humming. An example….bumped into 4 guys from Cosovo, part of a group of 63 people who travelled 13 hours in a coach to be part of the fun. No tickets, just wanted to be there. Another Example….4 lovely Irish people on train from Vienna to Budapest. Drive from Cork to Dublin. Flew to Vienna. Train to Budapest. No tickets just there in their Arsenal shirts for the craic!! Unbelievable support in that city. Bless ‘em all!

Class, you've been supporting Arsenal a lot longer than some of us. How did you deal with low moments such as cup final losses against West Ham, Luton, Nayim lob, Birmingham, Barcelona, Liverpool, Galatasary, etc? This one is not as painful to me compared to some of the more recent ones.
Note for Arteta : "Eze has never been a good penalty taker"

I think if the last 20 years or so have taught us anything, it's that you have to take strength, comfort, and joy from the journey rather than just the hoped for destination

From personal experience with family, and professional experience , I know support is very hard to come by and is patchy (at best) and the quality is worryingly diverse.

Good luck
Definitely planning a total unplug from all online football, everywhere. Maybe pop in here a bit, nowt more than that.
Totally. I've learned a lot about myself from initially unplugging after the away game at Wolves then briefly getting back into it when we won the title only to be filled with a sense of dread about wasting precious time.
One thing which has become apparent is the number of media tarts and YouTube cunts who depend on Arsenal fans to make a living by baiting us. Best thing to do is refuse to engage. Fuck them!
Don’t know if this makes sense but this has the feeling of a religious experience
The train is heaving with gooners. All happy, well behaved and polite. Yesterday hurt, however, I am so glad me and Bruce are making this journey.

Regarding the parade, I'm driving form reading to Cockfosters and then train from there probably to Angel and watch from near there. Any more local people got any suggestions that might be better?
The suggestion yesterday was to head for the north east part of the route. Probably advised to change at Finsbury Park and get out at Highbury and Islington and walk towards Green Lanes.
Feeling was that Angel will be very congested but then I think most places will be

Twenty years ago I was living in a township on the east coast of South Africa back when few homes had internet. I bought 10 MB of data that came on a little scratch card and loaded it on my phone so that I could look for people on the internet who shared my pain. That was when I found Arseblog. Reading today's blog just reminded me of that moment all over again. Cheers Andrew for all your work over the years. The Arsenal community is amazing and all these haters online can go fuck themselves!
Who's out for the parade?

Cathartic
I’ve only ever been to see one open top bus parade before. It was 1983 and MrsC and I were in Hove, actually, to visit her parents in Palmeira Square. Having just been relegated and lost to Manure in the FA Cup the less than triumphant Brighton team decided to have one along the main road through the towns to finish on the sea front at the Palace Pier.
Their apartment was only about 50 yards from the route so I thought I’d go out and watch the bus go past.
It was pouring rain and along my stretch of pavement there was myself and two other people, one of whom was waiting for a regular bus into town.
The team bus went past with four players on the top and the rest huddled inside. It was a sorry sight
I am guessing today will be an altogether different experience
Thanks for the blog this morning, Andrew. Having had the immense fortune to be able to attend the game with my elder son, I can report that our experience as a whole was incredible and unforgettable -...

There were some Sp*rs fans in the bar I watched the game in last night, they were there just to hate-watch, and the "banter" that was spewing from their ratty mouths was so childish. They really are the most pathetic group of fans.
Well I think I have now had enough of football for this season. Glad there’s nothing to get wound up about till August

If it's any consolation, just looked up Juve"s champions league record, and found the following:
"The 1996 UEFA Champions League final was a football match played on 22 May 1996 between title holders Ajax of the Netherlands and Juventus of Italy. The match ended in a 1–1 draw after extra time, forcing a penalty shoot-out, which Juventus won 4–2.
Even a club with the pedigree of Juve have only won it once, although that's one more than we have, but look at the circumstances in which they won it?

Thanks for the blog this morning, Andrew. Having had the immense fortune to be able to attend the game with my elder son, I can report that our experience as a whole was incredible and unforgettable - the city is beautiful and the occasion seemed well-organised, but what mattered most was being with our people, the magnificent Arsenal fans - so we're actually a little less devastated than we expected to be.
My heart goes out to the players, who performed magnificently and have given us the almightiest "through the wringer to glory" season one could hope or fear for. Maybe we as supporters, like the team, need to fully experience the pain to transmute it into the strength and resilience that will eventually bring us the ultimate European club football prize.
Fingers crossed our boys can shake themselves down, come through the world cup unscathed, and be ready to go again.
It's been a glorious season.
Regarding the referee's appalling performance, a friend put it bluntly this morning that football is corrupt, has always been. We just saw it play out in real-time yesterday.
By the way, who was the cunt? Didn't see him refereeing other champions league games before, so how come he was chosen rather than the likes of Trossard's dad?
"Djed Spence"
He'll have to look our English boys in the eye this summer. Cunt
I said "exchange", not debate. I also said it was understandable given the circumstances, but here you are implying I'm being a dick.
Just as you were implying something with your comment about Martinelli scoring a penalty when it was pretty clear I meant Madaueke so no need to get all high and mighty. Not getting into it anymore today.
well in class. I love you Arsenal
The right wing was open with Madueke and Timber, we should have exploited that more. Easy to say now I suppose, is what it is. If we hit the target with our penalties we'd have won cause that keeper w...
I need to watch it back, though like Paris '06 I probably never will. But it seemed to me that once Madueke + Timber were on, PSG had umpteen wide open raids down that flank.
and Arse!
well in classy
excellent blog, Blogs
What a team, proud of our boys. Struggling to score as we have so much this year we were always going to have trouble keeping the biggest boys out. Sadly we didn’t get a big Captain’s performance either to help control it all. For me it wasn’t so much the attack today as the midfield where we got absolutely dominated. There was no control at all. But what a memory and experience nevertheless
Mon back to Dublin blogs and let’s go for a pizza in Kodiak. I’m craving pizza right now.
Well done to Arsenal, I expect next year we’ll be the ones controlling the ball. Arteta will go away this summer and I believe he will revolutionise our style. He is the man.
Like others, I don't give a toss about rival fans mocking us. I wonder about how this last 10 days have gone. In my own loopy way, I feel responsible. While I've been on this medication for diagnosed ADD, I've spoken at a conference, Arsenal won the league and we were confident of going into a Champions League final.
I've watched all games with my nephews at my bro's house. He was on a bike tour up in Scotland so couldn't make it. I went on my own to London. Looks like I picked a bad day to give up medication. As I said last night, I was so lucky to be gifted a ticket to the Emirates, and felt blessed.
When we scored I was overjoyed but being drenched in beer from the young morons around me, the bag that carried my change of clothes for the parade drenched with it as the floor beneath me was soaked in beer. My boots were sticking to the ground. I was actually thinking (sorry) that I hoped we didn't score again because no one around me was apologetic, they all thought it was funny. I felt like an old man in the wrong place.
Then as penalties came up, I get a message from my friend, someone I've known for 35 years who apologised for being distant recently, saying my disappointment in life weighs heavily on her. She's going through her own struggles. I understand, but it felt like a dagger, cos I realise at really low points in my life she disappears, which again is her own thing, she does it with others.
Sorry to be bringing all this here while everyone is already down, I feel my anonymity and familiarity with this place allows me to share more than I do elsewhere.
I just realise that as much as I love the game, love Arsenal, it brings up so many memories of the past and often that hurts.
Walking around Islington's strets afterwards, seeing cans and plastic glasses strewn around the place, dejected fans trying to raise each others spirits, it was all just too much to take.
Drove back and popped in to see my nephew, had a quick chat which helped and then went back to my little flat Haslemere. I'm totally dejected.
I don't feel anger towards the players, they've proved themselves a genuine force in England and Europe and I know it will continue. I do think the ref halted our momentum from that Saka corner at the end of the first half and it did feel deliberate.
I've seen clips last night of Ebz miss a few penalties like that with Palace, I hope he changes from now. But in any case, thanks all for the support, thanks Blogs also, for showing up with words rain or shine. We all deserve better.
I just feel like I just want to let go of this all, because this blog isn't supposed to be a therapy session either.
Thanks all for (mostly) tolerating my anger over the years and for being understanding of my lows as well. I need to continue to stay off these meds as rough as it feels right now.
I think today will be my last share for a while, maybe longer, who knows. It's been a key part of my life and connection to my old place and club I love for the past 20 years, but maybe it's time for me to get myself better before anything else.
Arsenal Forever though, always in my heart ❤️
Ah, that’s a good blog.
We almost did it.
I think next year isn’t unreasonable ( I know that’s tough too).
I was in the stadium , I cried when we scored , I knew it was early , but I just believed ...
agree Bobby.
i was willing MA8 to be brave at 60 mins and sub off Mosquito, MØ and Saka (big fan of all 3 but they were all flagging a bit after an hour).
He didn’t make my change on the hour mark and, not long after, QSG got the pelanty.

Or were you referring to Martinelli's pass to Noni when the break was on? That was such a missed opportunity. I thought he was going to carry it forward and then decide, but he his pass wasn't good.
Why must my hangovers give me actual depression for half a day. 😞
Yesterday was very odd. The nerves didn't kick in until shortly before the match. Oddly I became more nervous shortly after celebrating our goal because of the time left and the quality if the opposition. An equalizer seemed inevitable but I really thought we could do it....... until Gabriel's miss.
I was surprised how much it hurt. I think I've been on a dopamine high since Bournemouth drew woth City.
There are no recriminations but a few 'what ifs', because this season has been a spectacular success. Premier League champions. UNBEATEN Finalists of the Champions League, Carabao Cuo finalists and semi final if the FA Cup.
We know where we need to improve.
But please enjoy what we've achieved. Yesterday hurt more than I expected, but every other team in England would have swapped places
I'm proud of this team. Proud of this club. And I love this place
Tired, slightly sad arse.
What's this about? ^
See my post @ 09:14.
As for Spurs players trolling our players about the penalty misses, that's a level of unprofessionalism that I suspect some of their own team mates will find embarrassing. They were a suspicious Matt ...

If only Timber's shot sneaked in at the near post. Keeper left enough of a gap for Timber to crack it in. That was the best chance for us
Anyway fuck Spurs. No one at the club in our lifetimes will ever experience what it's like to be champions and the best team in the land.
🎶 “You’ll never sing that , you’ll never sing that, champions of England, you’ll never sing that “. 🎶
Ever.
Imagine that.

Was always gonna be hard with the cursed front three who couldn't trap a bag of cement.

Mixed emotions like everyone else.
Only a few months old for the Fairs cup.
So my first European final 1980.
Some symmetry there. Rix and Brady. Eze and Big G.
My daughter loved being in the stadium.
We are in Budapest for another 48 hours.
Enjoy the parade.
Support both the teams and , yup big support for Eber and Gabby M.

We almost did it.

I was in the stadium , I cried when we scored , I knew it was early , but I just believed we’d given ourselves a massive head start.
Lessons?
Probably more for Arteta.
1. Maybe get Mosquera off sooner after the ( absolutely fucking ridiculous) yellow. Did that affect him? Maybe , but also maybe not. He was incredible.
2. Don’t put your last sub on with 30 minutes to go. My brother called it “why do that ? What if someone gets injured? It’s not like that would be a surprise “
Ten mins later, Hincapie did whatever he did. Hindsight is wonderful of course. But playing with what was effectively ten men stopped us from potentially taking the game to them more in that last 15.
But other than that ? I think we played well. We kept them out, we could never match their attacking prowess, but we certainly could blunt it. Almost.
It’s been a brilliant season.
See you in August.

Heated debate? Hardly. I got pissed off when someone told me to get another hobby because I was venting after losing the champions league final.
Probably time to take a break from here as these dickis...

Lots of love to Andrew ❤️❤️ beautifully written.
And well in Class. On to better things!

Spending time with them, aka cleaning their boots. He is what the media think MLS is.
Djed Spence is a sack of cum.
In his mind he plays like Cafu, in reality plays like Pascal Chimbonda
He'll be spending time in the company of Saka, Eze, Noni and Rice. I hope they, and other more mature England players who've played and won/lost major tournaments, blank him. I can imagine someone like Jude Bellingham giving Spence a peace of his mind about what an idiot he's been. They may be rivals at club level, but I suspect the top players also have respect and know where to draw the line.
I think he meant Madueke... but yeah I definitely think Zubimendi and Madueke should be stepping up here before big Gabi!
Sorry, I meant Madaueke, not Martinelli

A link was posted in yesterday's arses to Sky Sports site showing Djed Spence and pigeon cunt mocking Mosquera and Arsenal respectively.
They were there for the taking, especially in extra time. Our bench was so much stronger but we didn't go for it. I think that will haunt us when they look back on this game.

Who cares what those cunts have to say? A pox on all their houses...
This.
Didn’t know spurs had players.
Still so disappointed this morning. I don't blame Gabby at all for missing a penalty and I'm sure he did want to take one, but it reflects really badly on the like of Martinelli and Zubimendi that a centre back was taking a must score penalty ahead of them. Once again probably the biggest disappointment is our supposed stars and difference makers in attack made no difference at all. Gutting!
I watched the game on my own with the two dogs. One eye on the match and the other on here so i didnt feel so alone.
I HATE pens (even though i won 3 hockey grand finals in a row that way 30 odd years ago). Ebz and big gabi will be devastated...i still love them anyway x
Enjoy the parade for those of you lucky to go.
Heres to next season...COYG x

As for Spurs players trolling our players about the penalty misses, that's a level of unprofessionalism that I suspect some of their own team mates will find embarrassing. They were a suspicious Matt Doherty playing Palhinha onside game away from being relegated. If that doesn't lead to humility and introspection, hopefully next season will finally see them relegated, although I suspect a De Zerbi coached team will be too good to find themselves in such a situation.
Eastbourne station rammed with gooners
See some of you in Pemberton Rd.

Great blog, summed up my feelings exactly. Budapest was a special day, and we came so close. So much to be proud of this season.
Bah… arse!
Watched the game with a few friends who really don’t care much about football, and in one sense it was wise; it calmed my nerves during the game considerably. On the other hand, I haven’t quite processed the loss yet. You need football friends to do that. The blog helps, always does. So thanks, Andrew.
I’m going to get more coffee.
Always with the taxi drivers Blogs. twenty years ago after Paris you said that a taxi driver in Barcelona had got excited about their win and you said fuck that shit, I'm an Arsenal fan.
Later in the evening it got translated into Latin, on the arses. It'll be ok man.
Well I think I have now had enough of football for this season. Glad there’s nothing to get wound up about till August
Indeed. As I posted in yesterday's arses, that giant spermatozoa Infantino and his grotesque buddy in the White House can fucking do one! This world cup is tainted before it even starts.
Thanks for this season everyone!
Well I think I have now had enough of football for this season. Glad there’s nothing to get wound up about till August
Same here. Can enjoy a few months of relaxing as champions 🏆
