Yes. Levy kept Son and Kane there much longer than should've been reasonably expected. Crazy that they got rid of him, immediately after winning the Europa League.

To be placed by Vinai (who always seems like a decent enough guy but come on...)

Well in Spanish Willy.

Well captured blogs, I also really love the photo of the Gyök and Saka celebratory embrace. Perfect. Yesterday, we could see what this burgeoning raport could become and what we have all been yearning for much of the season. Saka was incisive and delivered the meat and drink that The Gyok needs to feed on. More please.

MLS was imperious in midfield and looked very comfortable knowing that Rice had his back. Everyone was brilliant and played their part yesterday. Trossard! Wow, where has that been? Anyway, I hope that the uplifting performance is just the tonic to carry us over the line and also sets us up nicely for the return leg against Atletico on Tuesday night.

C115y will be rested and raring to go on Monday night, but hopefully MA8's old mentor Moysey can do us a all a favour and take points off the light Blue Meanies. Yes, we all know that we should have had this wrapped the league title up already, but now we just have to repeat the effort and performance shown on Saturday in our remaining games.

Come On You Gunners, it's time to make history.

The permanently near-incontinents who repeatedly leave after 25 minutes and return 5 minutes later each half drive me mad.

A few weeks ago 5 men got up in unison after FIFTEEN minutes in the row in front and returned in dribs and draws over a 10 minute period. They did the same after about 30 minutes of the second half. This meant repeated obstructed views. In the second half I voiced my irritation ("oh for fuck's sake, not again") and became embroiled in a short argument where those around me vented their irritation. It made no difference at all to the group of toilet dwellers. It really is a pet peeve of mine.

Rice, Saka and Gyökeres were great yesterday, but the real facilitator of that win was MLS. He seems to be totally fearless, and I think that transmits to the other players. Also, his experience last season at Left-back taught him about defending. As well as having a more-than-decent game as a midfield player, he can drop into the 6 if Rice goes forward, and into the 3 to cover Calafiori's adventures. After a great start last season, he did get exposed as a left back, but this midfield role, with his ability to carry the ball, as well as troubleshoot, seems made for him.

Methinks next season Ethan either gets another really beneficial loan (not that volatile OM-omnishambles) or he will be eased into the first team. But with a fit Merino and MLS knocking/kicking down the 1st team door, Ethan's opportunities to play will come more likely through other player's injury, rather than need for rotation.

Feliz culo! Glad yesterday ended well, especially after the women lost a goal by getting Double-VAR'd on 20 minutes. The ref thought it was a fair tackle but VAR called a penalty. And then DvD saved the pen and play continued. Next break in play the ref was sent to the screen and it was ruled that DvD had stepped off her line fractionally before the penalty was taken.

I had wondered if it was a bad portent for the men's game, but they played great. I think there will be a rebuild of the women's team with a few 30+ year olds going out of contract and rumours of some great recruits on their way in.

Was a fabulous game to watch live, it was so much fun. But as Gabby Logan said afterwards Fulham had had 10 players out with a virus this week and also Sessegnon was broken. That's not to say we didn't play well, I just wondered why Fulham were so abjectly hopeless, now I know. Agent Smith Rowe looked as if he'd done himself a mischief, poor thing. And it didn't rain much either although I was under cover. Chucked it down when I'd almost reached my road.

Must be pretty pissed off about his exile. Watching his loan team get trashed 3-0 by one-from-bottom Nantes entirely from the bench while your actual team and mates win by the same margin can’t be fun...
He needs to come back hungry next season and really put pressure on Odegaard for a place in the team.

At the ground yesterday was great, best bit was the unusually loud and heart felt singing as the players went off at half time. Really good.
Also people trying to get behind Ben White in a big way despite him looking extremley dodgy. I think he will be sold

Just watching MOTD and Spurs got a massive slice of luck yesterday. Spam hit the woodwork three times and Brentford's penalty at 1-0 up is complete bullshit.

Unrelated, and also unsuitably, MLS's age makes me think of Paul Hardcastle's "19"

Morning all.
Best 45mins in a long time!
That Eze pass through needs a little more gloss and attention on it! Perfectly weighted and such a smart pass. Yet again. His through balls this season, very effective.
MLS first minute of the game -loved his energy.
Declan Rice… phenomenal again, one slide tackle he did was just brilliant.
Saka finally plays a first time cross and guess what happens? Gyokeres scores.
Good movement from Gyokeres all game.

Arse. Well in Bill.

Morning all.

Excellent performance last night, just what the doctor ordered. Great to have Saka back in form and MLS was outstanding in midfield. Even Trossard looked much more like the best version of himself. Must be a huge confidence boost ahead of Tuesday.
