I've not seen any of those Tom Holland ones
All you need are the Toby Maguire ones anyway, as far as I'm concerned
Tom Holland does do a pretty good job, in my opinion.
The only problem I've always had with the Tobey Maguire ones is Mary Jane. Kirsten Dunst doesn't do it for me at all, she just annoys the hell out me for some reason. š¤·
The new animated ones are surprisingly decent too. The latest one had one brief moment that alone is worth sitting through the whole movie for.
no spoilers but I had to rewind it 5 times for the laughs.
How many more of these Spider-Man movies are there? Can he just die in one of these?

They're getting a stretcher for the Gala player who has hurt his hand? What's that about?
Spuds starting really well but Spursing it up must have helped too.
Chelsea, City, Spuds & Newcastle conceded a total of 28 goals in the round of 16.

How can Spuds play so well in this match having been crap in the league most of the season?
It is... but my god Spurs have no business making the CL of this competition. I don't care if it complicates their PL survival; would be an affront too all that is good and true.

Really like Lewis Hall, if we weren't sorted at LB would love to get him
I think the narrative will be this is how football should be played and Arsenal are killing football.
I have to admit, I am now totally numb to this narrative - weāre at the point in the season where results are the only thing that matters.

You too as well, NB.
Heh!
Yeah, ok, some people's humour on here is dry and it gets missed by the likes of me. It's not a crime!
Ah, I saw that. I can just imagine thew media team, reviewing footage and seeing that then connecting with the squad management and the conversation: "Right Wilo, agenda for today: you have a video shoot for a new line of training jerseys - yes, again, sorry about that -, you'll be visiting a school to hand out awards, another fashion shoot, this time as guest for the London fashion show, oh, and you kicked one of the ball boys' ball away in your celebration at the last match, we need to arrange a signed jersey and you need to apologise to him and we'll clip that and put it out on socials, crowds love that.
Not that Eze is Messi level, but that ability to quickly generate lots of power with little backlift is similar. That's one of the things that's made Messi so dangerous over the years.
Hopefully these...
Messi could definitely generate lots of power, but I don't think he has ever hit a ball as hard as that. What made Messi special was the ability to get around that D and often to place it with power around the goalkeeper. If anything, he was more likely to do a Rice type goal, curling just inside the post after a mazy run.
So classy and respectful.
I have a newfound appreciation of Bayer04. Well played to them too š«”
I gained an appreciation when Xhaka lead them to demolish Bayern for an undefeated season
So, which of the other English teams are going to make it through this week (all comps)?
Iām going to be positive and go Pool, Geordies, Villa and Palace.

Hopefully these last two matches are the sign of us rounding into form for the run in. Beat City at the weekend and confidence should be high.
Volley or not, he shinned it
Haha ;-)

Eze thunderblasts us into the quarterfinals and twice tears Sp*rs asunder. Has he justified his move yet?
"their keeper might be about to pull off one of those nights to frustrate us."
he DID pull that off but lucky for us Eze showed up with something magically unstoppable, then Rice did likewise in a different way.
Jackster taking the piss, and you fell for it!

Oh my, those replays! Genuinely such a beautiful strike.
Weāre not allowed to enjoy or celebrate tho, as we havenāt won anything yet.

Heh!
I hope so!
Eze? Absolutely not. Pure strike with laces right through it.

The whole ESPNFC pundit team has a palpable disdain for Arsenal and they've been that way forever.
Especially Burley......twat
Deeney was talking absolute nonsense yesterday. He said that Leverkusen "played the better stuff".
I would also probably argue the opposite as well- Arsenal over two legs is harder to beat than a one off.
Never ever forget how ugly some of these other outfits were. Remember when Liverpool started players like Voronin and Kuyt? Remember when they were managed by Roy Hodgson?
Shit, remember them several days ago?!
Agree on Saka. Now would be a good time to click. Whoās Woolley btw?
Shit Merino. Almost forgot him!
Certainly enough quality in this squad to spread the goals and assists around.

Gyokeres link up play was really good last night I thought, some nice touches and layoffs. Could tell he really wanted a goal and was gutted to be subbed off
Agreed! Iām loving his mentality and his stamina. Vital to this team. Wanna see Gyƶkeres, Havertz and Eze together.
Notice for the Eze goal, Trossard passes it first time to him rather than taking a touch, gives Leverkusen less time to take their shape again
I watched the game again last night- aside from a couple of moments where he over egged it, Trossard was superb and probably should have had at least a goal. He is definitely one of the keys that unlocks Gyokeres too- he's always looking for his runs.
But a Leo that is getting back to his form in the autumn would be absolutely massive for the run in. When he is in form he walks into the team on the left side.
LOL the ode to Andrew Wyeth's "Christina's World" is pure class
Steve Nicol, what an absolute sourpuss cunt!

Ha, envious prick.
Next heāll be going full JT and claiming the credit of our success on the fact he called us weak and lacking cojones so we needed to respond and become the tough bastards we now are..
An idiot looking for a village.

https://www.football365.com/news/arsenal-tā¦Deeney eh?
Do I think in a two-legged game they beat Bayern Munich? No. I know they beat them in the group stage but over two legs?Someone tell him if we play Bayern, it's over one leg in the final....
Notice for the Eze goal, Trossard passes it first time to him rather than taking a touch, gives Leverkusen less time to take their shape again
Rice's touch to Trossard is first time too. This is what I've been crying out for all season, just play a bit faster rather than all the six touches and then a backwards or sideways pass stuff.
From Bayer's X account:
'Two hard-fought games š¤
Well played Arsenal and best of luck for the rest of your season.'
What a gracious message to send. Classy!
Not only that, but their fans were determined to enjoy the occasion, and their day out in London, even 2-0 down, singing and dancing to the end. Nice to see that their traveling support was as classy as the club itself.
Even though Ben White was never going to last the full 90 minutes, it was great to see him on the pitch again. I'd love to see him back to full fitness, not that Timber hasn't fully earned his spot, but it would be nice to have all our options available for the final run-in.
On Eze - who knew that time to get to know his teammates and a bit of consistent playing time would improve him
... and adding some red fronds to his hair.
Notice for the Eze goal, Trossard passes it first time to him rather than taking a touch, gives Leverkusen less time to take their shape again
Morning grinners! It's not important whether Eze's goal was a volley or a half-volley. We can all agree that it was an absolute banger that finally broke the resistance of a great goalkeeping display that could have seen us out of the competition.
Leverkusen were clever, playing a low block at home and a more attacking strategy at our place. Even though it took us 89 minutes to find a way through a very good and determined Everton team, there were signs that our attack was starting to come together more, and it turned out to be great preparation for last night's match. Now let's play like this for the rest of the season!
For Eze, it is to do with his back lift (or lack of). He generates so much power off relatively little back lift which sets him apart. I remember reading something by bergkamp in which he said that his back lift gave him an advantage. But I don't he could ever generate that much power. Rice generates huge power but needs more time to "set"
You have all you need on Volleys and half volleys on wiki's Volley page - it wouldn't let me put a link to the page,
Eze could give Tony Yeboah a run for his money for the best half volleyer. Thundertwatters
Why don't you just call that one an Eezee.
Nope this is different to the C115eh charges.
We could always call the one in between the "Eze" ;)

I am sick to death of the dissection that takes place about our every move on the pitch by people in the media and other clubs. It's as if everyones brains are fogged we don't do all the things they say we do. and I find it it deeply offensive and I hope BL and everyone else now realise that we don't just win with set pieces or waste time *goes to eat a restorative chocolate ginger biscuit or 2*......have lost my grip in the English language I'm so pissed off with it.

For me a half volley is when the ball has just hit the ground and then you hit it

He's had enough of being man-aged
He's had enough of being seen for what he is - a good footballer but not a £100m footballer.
Compare him to Rice.
I thought a half-volley was right off the deck before it even rises?
This is where the controversy lies :) Some say a bouncing ball, bouncing up is a half-volley, that a true volley is only when the ball is fully in the air, before it bounces. My sense is still that a ball in the air is a volley regardless and that a pure half-volley is, as you say, when you meet the ball close to the ground. But this is like Marmite to football fans, it divides opinion!
just read this:
https://www.nytimes.com/2026/03/17/world/eā¦what the actual fuck? a fine of Ā£14m because the current owners cooperated? it's not the owners who should be punished, but the club. what a fucking shit show.

Madrid trip booked. I'll be well on time to watch the Citeh (league) match while working. Means earlier waking-up than I wish though.
trossard was really good yesterday. taking up lots of central positions. interesting.

Zubimemdi was much better last night kept looking for the forward pass. Saka had chances but still lacked his former sharpness. But at least he got a couple of shots off with his right. Solid all round with two moments of magic, Iād love to know how fast that ball was travelling.
The real question: was Ezeās goal a volley or a half-volley āŗļø ball was rising so some would say half-volley. Iād say volley and a spectacular one. On to Wembleyā¦

The genius comment in that article was that they referenced Utdās glorious 07/08 team as scoring more % set piece goals but that they didnāt rely on set piece goals as much as we do. š¤¦āāļø
The haters were responsible for creating this āmonsterā. They can fucking do one.
Iām so nervous already about Sunday. Itās huge in the context of our season.
Iām confident already about the league, but win on Sunday and we will have momentum and that little bit extra be able to relax and enjoy the rest of the season. There are definitely players who are feeling the pressure right now, and a moment like Max gave us on Saturday has released the valve slightly. Lovely strikes from Rice and Eze help too, we just need a big one from Saka now to remind everyone what heās capable of.
I'm just glad we don't have to play on the astroturf of Bodo Glimt
Bring on Sporting!
Lovely win yesterday, beautiful goals
Steve Nicol, what an absolute sourpuss cunt!
Still recovering from Anfield 1989.
Just watched the highlights of Sporting's comeback last night. They needed a very questionable penalty to get to extra time.
A good game last night, it makes such a difference when teams come to play rather than sit in a low block. A couple of really nice goals too.
I did notice that Gyokeres looked much better last night. He's no peak Henry or anything, but he looked quicker, a bit more secure in possession and combined with the rest of the team better. A long way to go for him, but an improvement nonetheless.
Arse. WiB.
