Calafiori may have been given time on the bench to make sure he's OK for Sunday - remember he came back semi-crocked from the interlull.

It was a good learning experience for Myles.

I loved the Rice interview, where he was honest and instructive about how Arsenal managed to dismantle such a good passing side. He was honest enough to say in the first half Bayern were moving the ball about so well and dragging Arsenal out of position. He said something to the effect of they couldn't get their bearings and positions because of the angles the `Bayern players were circulating the ball.

But they got their bearings in the second half, took the game to Bayern and I think Bayern just got shocked and lost their rhythm after our second goal. That was Calafiori wit such top class instinct and execution (not world class Balague? Give me a break!). But that Eze pass and Martinelli touch around the keeper and finish, shades of their previous combination against City.

And our crowd, you could hear it from the TV, it sounded louder than for Spurs even. Oh what a privilege for every fan who was there seeing this. Of course, what matters is we do this to them when it matters at the business end of the season. But it's a good marker and hopefully enough momentum for another tough challenge on Sunday. This is the biggest game now of this team's "process". This could take us to the next level. Can't wait!!!

Seriously if he doesn’t get it he doesn’t get it. Our Backline and midfield players start in any team and our attacking players in 99.9 of teams.
Exactly, who cares? Balague has always been a bit of a prick, has always felt biased. All our rivals having our team living in their heads and bleating about everything they can. It's all they've got, let them bleat. We're winning, and winning in style. That's all that counts.

Said it a lot last season, Pool built momentum at the start because they had a very generous set of fixtures to start with, they had no injuries to any core players, they had the luck with VAR and reffing decisions and VanDick and Salah were at their world class best. All lights were green for them, while everyone else were hitting red. We had injury after injury to key players and ridiculous red cards and pens making us constantly fighting against the tide.

This season they have hit the level playing field and been found out, maybe VAR is back against them this season, but it feels a bit more evenly distributed across all teams, us included.
One of the critical differences this season for us is we are not giving refs/ VAR the chance to screw us over and we are remaining disciplined.

Great win gooners! I love this team!

Keep it going, and deliver a win against the chavs on Sunday! 🙏

People can complain all they want about not getting it over the line for the last three seasons but I would have never thought in a million years that in just 5 seasons he would build a team like this...
This season we have gone to another level. It has been built on the foundations laid five years ago, the foggina standards, the near misses, and the final piece, a genuine professional director of football, key, disciplined signings and the main players already there maturing. Still haven’t won anything big, but it’s looking good. Expectation is high which brings more pressure. But this club is focused now.

LOL another way of saying that is. "If this was a FIFA team- they don't have any players rated 93 or above. But just about every player is an 82-88."

We could lose this game and blow through top 8 without any issues. MLS struggled against proper quality, happens as he's a teenager who is primarily a midfielder playing against a top class winger. Its a needed game for MLS imo. And Tuchel probably.

Also, Declan Rice is the best player in world football.

I think in terms of sharpness we're not just less on it, we've been flat out clumsy. Trossard's injury unfortunate on that end as he's one to keep his touch air-tight usually. It's a shame because the ball kept falling kindly for our attack but they just didnt show any composure or killer instinct. The chance for Eze that he scuffed wide in a weird way, a couple of cut passes in their box for Saka, some really gilld edged chances. Meanwhile I can't help but blame MLS a bit for their goal. Should have gotten much closer to Gnabry, no way should he have been comfortable enough to cuqhion lob it to midget Karl Marx. Still believe we can kill these piss weak cunts with a minimum of composure.

Don't really see how you can moan about The Angel being sung. All seemed to happen very organically and that's what it's about. Local lad writes a song about his home with no clue that it will be adopted by his football club and sung by 60k every home match and millions more around the globe. It resonated with people and it stuck. If it didn't resonate then it would have fallen by the way side.

Haters can suck it and we can laugh at them.

I think with many of these experiments, especially those sanctioned by the club, they can appear not quite street level and authentic. But honestly, the fact that rival fans are getting so wound up about it means that's all they have to offer because they know they can't say anything about the team. I mean, even when they did about us relying on set-piece goals, then our star signing scores a magnificent hat-trick in open play against our North London rivals, everything they try to get us with just falls flat. Of course, if we fail to land the league title they will all be ecstatic... so I guess we'll have to carry on and win the league just for our own enjoyment, with the bonus of knowing they will be squirming forevvva :)

It was something very different from usual tiffs, which are essentially big flags. This was more like one of those 3D displays or origami creations. It was original and unique, just a bit of art, maybe a bit corporate, but we're not defined by these individual creations but by our clubs responsiveness to fans' needs, which - once again - is down to Arteta and a very professional and slick management team and creative team. And that makes rivals spitting mad for sure.

I guess the increased US support for Premier League football and the common (ish) language we share has led to this particular osmosis of the term. Much like the modern young's saying everything is "cooking" or players "cook" or are "cooked", it seems everyone wants to use it to appear current and cool. I can't tell which of these statements you really mean or if you're just being ironic? I think the Tifo (I have to say I struggle with this word like "clutch" seems to have been invented recently) was a magnificent creation and definitely with Sol at the head one for a specific occasion. I have to say when I first heard North London forevvva I took the piss. Then I heard the lyrics fully and it made me nostalgic for home. I've never been in the stadium when it's been sung, I guess if that happens over the next few months I will get very emotional. Isn't it great that there's an anthem created by a local boy that is so rousing? Better than Liverpool nicking a song from a local 60's beatnik band ;)

disappointing because it got moved to a different venue. They called it a "multimedia experience" and it was that, with a lot of image/video projection work. the original venue has a two-story stage wall so lots of room for projecting stuff. The venue it got moved to had virtually no room for that sort of thing. I had no idea what they were saying most of the time because the subtitles in their presentation were blocked by roof scaffolding.

I hear we've sent scouts out to monitor Assan Ouedraogo and the good thing is he's pitch ready as he's already injured.

and when does Saliba get a break? As tempting as it might be, can we really play him every single game? I suppose losing Gabby complicates that a bit.

Maybe it’s a good thing. A reminder that we need to be absolutely on our “A” game v Chavs on Sunday.

They’ll try to hit us like they did against PSG in the glorified pre-season friendly. We need to be ready for that, patience and discipline will see us through.

Before that, there’s a small matter of Bayern. We need a solid display tonight. Win and we are almost guaranteed top 8, with a massive statement to the rest of Europe.

Bayern will easily be the best and strongest team we have faced so far this season.

Hairy Kunt is guaranteed to score at least 1 and, as good a squad as we now have, I still think we would need everybody fit to beat them.

tonight might be a reminder that there are a handful of other good teams to contend with.
