oh, and Zinsberger recently went out with an ACL
and Smith got a significant knock, stretchered off.
Reid, Lotte Wubben-Moy, van Domselaar all left their respective international camps early too. š¬ bloody internationals. Ah well, at least we don't have any critical matches coming up... what's that? A possible league-ender (if we lose) with Chelsea coming up? doooom!
Agyemang ACL... sigh, it really is an epidemic. The timing couldn't be worse too, as she's right in the midst of a significant breakthrough in her career.
Best of luck in your recovery Michelle, may it be as quick and smooth as possible.
Lemme just reverse jinx it all and say:
We're fucking shite.

And I'm largely a glass half full kinda guy but, where we seem to be headed - ooofff!
Not saying we couldn't beat that 115 team, just that it was brutal knowing that they could put 12 wins in a row together, and a 6 point lead could be cut in a few games if we slipped up.
I don't feel ...
Ok, I guess we're on the same page...
I just think this iteration of (almost grown up in 22-24) Arsenal probably runs that 115 team even closer than a handful of goals and 1 point now.
I don't think I've felt this positive about the direction of the club and team since maybe 2005.
I think we could go toe to toe with that 115 of 22-24 (actually, we largely did, didn't we?) without this squad depth, let alone with this squad depth

I don't feel the same way about this Man city team

*toe to toe - with the youngest squad in the PL for those few seasons I might add.
Agreed
But you must admit it would feel different if it was Man City of 22-24 who were 6 points behind us, and not this iteration who don't have the same fear factor (apart from sasquatch up front)

i.e. It hinges on us and no one else

It all hinges on whether man city are capable of stringing 8-9 wins on the bounce.
They don't have a prime Kev brown, Rodri, Mahrez, Gundogan any more.
Anyway no complacency...I don't think Tet will...
Speaking of Kev Brown, he suffered a torn thigh muscle scoring a pelanty against Inter on Saturday...
i.e. It hinges on us and no one else
And it's the first time in a fucking long time that I've felt like this about our club.

Nah, fuck that. It's got nothing to do with 115 and everything to do about us...
If we try to measure up to them, we're being self-defeating. They need to measure up to us.

Amen
Whether we win anything big or not (and we need to because so many want to enjoy us failing) the feeling right now of the rest of the Premier League boiling gargantuan vats of piss at our squad and everything seeming to go right is just really, really funny. They know we're in a very good place and they can't bear the thought. Still so far to go, but I just want a four month stretch after January where we get all our players back and fit and then... let the cards fall where they may!

Yes, I imagined anyone who had read it would have thought that, so I had to confess now! I think Saliba has this powered, driving acceleration over the first few yards, rather like Timber. Mosquera's only 21 so I imagine when he puts a bit more muscle on he'll get that as well, once he's up and running those long legs are like a racehorse getting into his stride. As for the one-on-ones and last-ditch challenges, absolutely majestic. I did add straight after that I like both him and HincapiƩ, their auras are what you need from top defenders and they have the physical attributes to go with it.
Him and Mosquera, from sheer level relative to the amount spent. It's funny, I was doubting Mosquera's pace after Eddie Nketiah got the run of him a couple of times at the weekend. But he just showed ...

He might not have Willy's spin but he's definitely got decent flat rate speed.
I love this photo of Merino with his arms around MLS and Nwaneri. Proud uncle vibes! š¤

Him and Mosquera, from sheer level relative to the amount spent. It's funny, I was doubting Mosquera's pace after Eddie Nketiah got the run of him a couple of times at the weekend. But he just showed yesterday that the pace is definitely there. Aside from one bad pass, the way he wins challenges is superb, just naturally has to pick up a bit more experience.
Kepa on the other hand, has all the experience any keeper could need, the top level. And I guess his fall from grace has humbled him a bit and he seems to have responded in the perfect way. £5m is an absolute steal and considering how much we've spent on Chelsea players, with very mixed results, this one is one that is the most satisfying.
In the style of gooder/hazza, etc.:
61, never again.
Shhh
Don't say that, Victim FC needs an excuse.
The fact that they decided to spend so much money on their attack was a calculated risk. Now that it hasn't worked they are trying to use the poverty...
Fucking laughable
Now some of their cunt fans are saying this is a transition season. After spending that much in the summer, fucken do me a favour
After two subs he only had teenagers? Hang on, didn't he also actually rest players meaning the non-teenagers could actually have been there if he'd decided so?
He's losing the plot very quickly.

Itās so funny this version of Kepa is way better than the one Chelsea bought for 74mĀ£ and is better than the guys on their roster.. Donāt try to make sense of it.
yeah, I know, it's just the probability of it landing that way is remarkable. The foot gods having a laugh again.

yesterday there was discussion about the best value transfer we made in the summer and while Kepa isn't playing much I think he could be added to that conversation. £5M for probably the best #2 in the league is quite something.

did anyone actually watch the draw? You'd think it was seeded the way last season's top-half teams miraculously all drew lower teams.
It was random

Hey Blogs, let Tom know the Arses are still glitching a bit. I was on the main Arses here but then I logged in and it bounced me over to the Arses on the Stillman article.
Indeed. I believe I may have muttered āfuck you RFK Jrā as the jabs were jabbing.
As Jessie Pinkman said to Mr. White, āSCIENCE!ā
