The traffic in Islington is absolutely atrocious at the moment with lots of hold ups and some new road closures. I am planning on withholding my payment of the rates or whatever they call them if they don't get their act together soon. Instead of closing roads they should limit the number of vehicles per household. And then the council stop pubs showing the matches when bloody newbies complain.

That sounds like old advice from when browsers weren't smart enough to handle it. These days, for example, sticking a dash in a URL path is no problem.

In fact, I would think dashes should even be recommended, for searchbot reasons.

(I suppose it depends on what they consider "wraparound characters". Some you definitely shouldn't use)

Exactly, as mike mentioned below, it's not the set-piece thing that was (mostly) objected too, though it may have seen as part and parcel of the lot.
But as was also rightly pointed out I think elsewhere (different site), there is also a huge difference in scoring a lot from set-pieces against low block while you still have most of the possession and threat (which is how you get MANY set pieces, a few you score from), and being completely negative and getting your only chances from set-pieces in games during which you can't get hold of the ball at all.

I must say the arses today are a font of font knowledge!

Speaking of, I like using Georgia for my work emails.

Now off to work to help put out client fires before meeting a judge friend for dinner — Korean BBQ and beers. Hopefully he will have some good courthouse gossip to share.

Have a great day all.

hazza said Tom said it might be called Roboto. Hope it's Oswald which is a proper font not a new Google one but of course the google ones might work better. Oswald would be a good name for my upcoming grandson. But we did have a cat named Oswald. I will suggest it as I have been given the job of looking for interesting names as I am given to naming practically everything.

Hello. I'm Tony Pulis and welcome to my new BBC Sport column, Going Direct.
Eurgh. *pukes*
I read the article - eventually. It's one-eyed 'analysis' is, well, one-eyed. Pulis's attempt at rewriting football history as inventing of long throws is laughable, but to then blame his notoriety on this is plainly dishonest, it was the thuggery he encouraged - just like Fat Sam. Let's take a second to think about the culture they vigorously encouraged, with Fat Sam actually grinning when he was asked about serious imjuries to Ljungberg and Pires.

Now Pulis has the gall to paint himself as some sort of tactical innovator.

The one thing that does stick out is his repeated references to Arsenal and his repeated proclamations that the criticism didn't bother him. Then, if this wasn't enough, he speaks about Guardiola in a ridiculous attempt to gain acceptance.

Last observation, why is the BBC paying this clown as a pundit? He was found guilty of misleading Palace into giving him a bonus a year early, ostensibly to buy a plot of land for his daughter - a deal that was no where near completion and would never happen. The day after being paid, he resigned
Two days later he was gone. When he appeared in court, he had to pay millions to Palace.

A man who headbutted a player (Beattie?) in the dressing room.

I actually like it a lot I just think think it doesn't necessarily go with the other typefaces involved in the blog pages, weight wise. I speak as someone who did graphic design at college. Followed by post grad Illustration (now hilariously called communication) at the RCA I think it's deliciously elegant, in no way childish, and has an elegant simplicity. Interesting how people see things differently. And don't get me started on the red overlay on the match day banner.Every time I see it I want to get a sponge and wipe the redness ooff Mikel's skin or at the very least his eyes. Sorry for any typos have tried v hard not to leave any lying around. *goes to put the kettle on*

I and my entire family are, diagnosed decades ago. Had a terrible time at school because it wasn't a thing just then and I couldn't get stuff down on paper - or worst of all - work properly if in a room with other people. Anyway, enough of me.Wasn't diagnosed 'til I was about 50, in my late 70's now.. Hang on in there. It doesn't mean you're stupid in fact you're often just the opposite, but it makes life more of a struggle.

Cool, I was going to say I'm sure you'll find a place, but I'm guessing for an early League Cup round it's not as easy as 'shown on Sky' League match. No idea if our match is on TV in the UK actually.

Expecting much rotation this evening. I wonder how much Brighton will change their team around? Time to test out the depth of the squad.
